Gadius

Who's around.

A grid of people near you, each with a rounded distance. Tap someone to say you noticed. Chat when it's mutual. Adults only, and nothing tracks you when the app is closed.

Coming to the App Store and Google Play. 18+.

The Gadius grid: photos of people nearby with their first name and a rounded distance
๐Ÿ”ฅ Theo 4.2 km
๐Ÿ‘‹ Luca 4.7 km
๐Ÿ˜‰ Dev 4.5 km

Three things, in this order.

No swiping, no feed, no algorithm deciding who you see. The grid is sorted by distance, and that's it.

Grid of nearby people

See who's near

Everyone within your chosen distance, closest first. Filter by age, online now, or who has a photo.

A profile with Tap and Chat buttons

Send a tap

A flame, a wave or a wink. It costs nothing and asks nothing. If they tap back, you both know.

A chat conversation

Talk, then meet

Text and photos, with read receipts. Chats clear after 30 days unless you star them.

Your location stays yours.

Most nearby apps store where you've been. Gadius stores one point, and nobody sees even that.

1.2 km
What Theo sees. Not a pin, not a street, not 1,238 m.
Only while the app is open

There is no background tracking. Close the app and nothing is sent.

One point, never a history

Each update replaces the last. There is no trail to leak, subpoena or sell.

Rounded, with noise

Others see a distance to the nearest hundred metres plus a random offset that is fixed per pair, so repeated looks can't triangulate you.

Off in one tap

Hide your distance, or leave the grid entirely, from your profile.

Built for adults, run by a human.

  • โœ“Every photo is screened automatically before anyone sees it, in public, in private albums and in chat.
  • โœ“Report and block on every profile. Reports reach a person and are acted on within 24 hours.
  • โœ“18 and over. Your birthdate is asked once, never shown and never changed.
  • โœ“Delete your account from inside the app and everything goes with it: photos, chats, taps, location.

The full rules are in the community guidelines. What we keep and why is in the privacy policy.
